🤠 Nice to meet you

My name is Dani, and I’m a designer, gamer, and houseplant enthusiast living in Portland, OR.

In 2023, I decided to fulfill my years-long dream of transitioning to UX/UI design. I previously worked in marketing and brand design with a focus on the non-profit and tech industries.

Outside of work—and when I’m not gaming—I love to spend my time reading (find me in the horror section 👻), dabbling in interior design, and volunteering with the causes I’m passionate about.

My Design Values

Who I am & how I work

This list of values represents who I am—both at work and at home—and aims to give you a more well-rounded view of how I approach my work. I strive to make positive change in my community, and these values together serve as my North Star to help me stay on track. Check out my LinkedIn posts to learn more about how my values show up at work!

🔁 Practice conscientious evolution

We can always improve, and making mistakes is part of the design cycle. I fearlessly try new things and keep a pulse on the latest developments in tech, social justice, and design.

👀 Pay attention to the little things

Cohesive design relies of making sure the details are on point. From typography to color choices, spacing to animations, each element should be meticulously crafted.

💖 Embrace vulnerability

Teams work best together when everyone feels safe, respected, and free to express themselves. I work to model authenticity & honesty and encourage these traits amongst my people.

🧐 Challenge assumptions, not people

I strive to understand what’s worked (or not) before. I’m open to hearing all perspectives and help teams align towards a clearly articulated, shared goal.
